The LevelOne GEP-0822 is an 8-port Gigabit PoE switch designed for small offices, shops and surveillance deployments that need to power multiple network devices over Ethernet. All 8 x 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, delivering both power and data over a single cable to IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones and other PoE-powered devices.
With a total PoE power budget of 240W and up to 30W available per port, the GEP-0822 provides ample capacity for mixed deployments of standard and high-power PoE devices. Auto-detection ensures that only IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices are powered, while protection against non-standard PoE helps safeguard connected equipment.
The switch offers Gigabit wire-speed forwarding on all ports, with support for 9K jumbo frames to enhance throughput for high-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming, NVR backhaul, and large file transfers. IEEE 802.3x Flow Control helps maintain reliable data delivery under heavy load, reducing packet loss and improving overall network stability.
Compliant with Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az), the GEP-0822 automatically lowers power consumption during periods of low link utilization, helping to reduce operating costs. The metal chassis can be used on a desktop or mounted in a 19-inch rack with the included kit, and its unmanaged, plug-and-play design with front-panel LEDs makes deployment fast and straightforward with no configuration required.
